Tuna Noodle Casserole

My mom used to make this once in a blue moon when I was a kid.  I loved it!  It is the ultimate comfort food and way too easy to make.

That’s a family size can of soup I used one of those and one regular sized can.  I only used 1/2 the bag of chips.

First boil the noodles.  You could use elbow macaroni instead.  I have tried in the past to get fancy with this and added vegetables, because I felt it was too monochromatic, but I think I have finally come to terms with the fact that it’s best when it’s the most simple.

Drain tuna and give tuna water to cats, if you don’t have cats, I dare you to drink it.

When noodles are cooked and drained combine: tuna, soup and noodles.

I mixed them all together in the same pot I used to cook the noodles.

Then spread mixture into casserole dish.

Open bag of chips and remove about half of them.  Crush the remaining chips in bag.

Sprinkle broken chips over top.

Gently press layer of chips over noodle mixture.

I wrapped it in cellphane and scrawled direction on it.

Bake at 350 until chips get darker around edges about 20 minutes give or take.
